My Story…20 yrs. in the making!
Hello customers. My name is Terran DeYoung, and I hand-make every item in my shop. Disclaimer: everything Disney, Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter themed are things I’ve made inspired by these movies or characters. All credits for the characters and movies themselves go out to their respective design and production teams. I’m simply making items inspired by these movies and characters. I’ve also bought all charms, beads, and stickers from other fantastic Etsy sellers, Joann’s Fabrics or Amazon to make said designs.
How it all Started!!
I started beading when I was about 6 or 7 when a neighbor gave me a shoe box filled to the rim with beads. I didn’t know what I was doing and over the last 20 years or so, I’ve learned and grown my knowledge and skills of bead work. I’ve had to figure out everything by myself though throughout the years I’ve gotten a lot of support and advice from family and friends especially my mom. She is the person I go to, to show off a new piece or who gives me some new ideas.
Even now, I’m still learning everything I can about beading. I've recently added beaded bottle openers, pizza cutters, suncatchers/wind chimes and snowflake ornaments to my collections. I’m still working on the suncatchers and ornaments and will put them up soon. I have graduated from the University of Montana with a degree for English Teaching and Creative Writing. Now I've got a full-time job of being a sub for high schoolers at the high school I've graduated from. I hope you liked how my beading journey started and take a look around my site. Is everything in the shop handmade?
Yes, everything from the wine charms to the Keychains are made by me. Sometimes, I look at the colors of beads and/or charms and figure out what I want to make when I start designing each piece. For example, I'd start out with just a heart charm and then choose colors/beads that fit it, design it, then I'd make it.
Do you do any custom orders? Where can we tell you what, we want made?
Yes, I do custom orders. I do have a customization website where you can get an idea of what I have to work with. You are welcome to send me a custom request via messages on my site or send me an email to Beadedtreasures@yahoo.com. Or check out my ‘Custom Orders’ tab for fillable order forms for all your needs. If you have a theme, colors or some sort of idea of what you want, then we can go from there.
Can you make custom wine charms for weddings?
Yes, I'd be more than happy to create custom wine charms for yours or someone else's wedding. Just tell me how many units (number of sets you want made) with either 4, 6 or more wine charms in each set, what charms and colors you want. Know that I will figure out where I can get the charms you want and will have to order them. With this in mind, be aware that it could take from a week to about a month to get any of the charms. With colors, let me know which 2 or 3 colors you would like. I will message you throughout the whole process of when I order the charms, when they're supposed to arrive, when I finish, etc. Please let me know in messages or with my email Beadedtreasures@yahoo.com if you have any

Care instructions
There are some items that you may want to be careful with after you buy them. Items that the beads or charms are made entirely of glass just needs to be handled with care because there’s a chance if dropped, they could break. This goes for the turtle keychains and anything that mentions the use of glass beads or pendants. The plant stakes will be folded in half when traveling so just straighten them up when you want to use them. In terms of Jewelry, earrings just need to be soaked in some form of sterilizer or cleaner such as alcohol/rubbing alcohol before use.
What kind of items do you make?
I make necklaces, earrings, rings, matching jewelry sets of multiple items, ankle bracelets for Jewelry. Eyeglass chains, different kinds of keychains, watch bands, wine charms, beaded pens and bookmarks for Accessories. I make beaded wine stoppers, bottle openers, stir sticks and pizza cutters for kitchen utensils. And plant stakes, suncatchers/wind chimes and ornaments for garden/home decor. I'm open to make whatever you would like made, just shoot me a message with what you're thinking of, and we'll go from there.
What would you say is your best seller on your site?
I would say that my wine charms are by far the best seller of my shop ranging from pre-made and ready to order wine charm sets to custom orders. My 2nd best seller would be my plant stakes. Perfect decoration for both plants outside and in, ranging from a variety of color combinations.
Custom and personalized orders
For custom orders that require me to order specific charms or beads, note that it might take a couple weeks to a month to order and receive those items and another week to make the order and ship the custom order out. This is based on a case-by-case basis. You're welcome to message me about what you want exactly, and we'll go from there.
Are Advent Calendars up all year long or are they only seasonal?
My beaded Jewelry and Accessories advent calendars are only seasonal. They will be up from mid-September to early January. However, if you are interested in getting one made regardless of the time of year, let me know and I'll put the specific listing up for you to order from.
